After you’ve worn your garment for years, cared for and repaired it, there comes a time when it's beyond wearing, so we’ll take it back. You can return it to our stores or through your Collective account and earn points to spend with us. This is our way of thanking you for opting out of the linear fashion cycle.
Kowtow Regenerate
Kowtow Regenerate is our way of taking responsibility for the garments that we produce. We are actively working on innovations to return our garments to the earth for regeneration.
So when your Kowtow garment reaches the end of its wearable life, we’ll take it back. Simply return it to our stores or through your Collective account.
Your well loved garments then become part of our post consumer research and development programme and the solution to closing the circular design loop.
The Journey to Regenerate
-
Return Your Garment to Us
-
Our Team Will Assess It
Our team will assess your garment for it’s age, fabric content and components like metal tacks, fusing or buttons.
-
Then They Will Decommission It
Your garment will then be decommissioned. Components will be removed and sorted into the appropriate waste stream for that garment.
-
Your Garment Becomes Part of our Research
Your Fairtrade organic cotton garment will then become part of our post consumer research and development phase to close the circular design loop.
Keeping Kowtow Out Of Landfill
Approximately 92 million tons of textile waste end up in landfills or incineration worldwide each year*
Investing time and effort into post consumer solutions for the garments we make, is our way of combating the waste cycle that fast fashion perpetuates.
Our team is investigating multiple solutions to keep Kowtow garments out of landfill and so far, we have diverted 909kg of garments to the Kowtow Regenerate programme.
We’re excited to be on the frontier of innovation and we’ll keep our Collective community updated on how it progresses.
